TY - JOUR TI - Public Relations as a Defense Mechanism Against Discriminatory Propaganda AB - The purpose of this study is to examine thepropaganda against “marginal” organizations andindividuals and how these organizations/individualscan use the methods and tools of public relations inthe anti-propaganda process. In this context, firstlyhomophobic propaganda will be discussed as a typeof discriminatory propaganda, and then prejudicesand stereotypes against homosexuals will beexamined with their reasons, usages, sub-themesand various examples. In the public relations sectionof the study, defending tactics and strategies againstpropaganda activities will be given in the topicsof message strategy, persuasion, target audienceanalysis, research process, image and reputationmanagement.
