Öz:

Bu çalışma cevizde kabuk kalınlığının çimlenme ve çöğür gelişimi üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Kabuk kalınlıkları farklı üç ceviz tipinden alınan tohumlar doğrudan araziye ekilmiştir. Ceviz tiplerinin kabuk kalınlıkları 0.17 cm (tip 1), 0.23 cm (tip 2) ve 0.28 cm (tip 3) dir. Ceviz tiplerinin çimlenme oranlan % 45 (tip 2), % 51 (tip 1) ve % 60 (tip 3) olarak saptanmıştır. Çimlenme oranları bakımından tipler arasında önemli bir istatistiksel fark bulunamamıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca, çöğür eni ve boyu gelişme periyodu süresince ölçülmüştür. Bir yetiştirme periyodu sonunda ortalama çöğür boyu 13.10 (tip 3) - 13.40 (tip 2) cm ve çöğür çapı 0.55 (tip 1) - 0.58 (tip 3) cm olarak ölçülmüştür.

Cevizde (Juglans regia L.) kabuk kalınlığının çimlenme ve çöğür gelişimi üzerine etkisi

Öz:

This study was conducted to determine of the effect of shell-thickness on the germination and seedling growth in walnut. The seeds taken from three walnut types which have different shell-thickness were sawn in field. The shell-thickness of type 1, type 2 and type 3 were 0.17 cm, 0.23 cm and 0.28 cm, respectively. The percentages of germination were found as 45 % (type 2), 51 % (type 1) and 60 % (type 3).The differences between germination percentages of types were found statistically not significant. In addition, seedling heights and widths were measured during growth period. The average seedling height were measured as 13.10 (type 3) - 13.40 (type 2) cm and seedling widths were 0.55 (type 1) - 0.58 (type 3) cm at the end of vegetation period.
