İŞLETMELERİN AR-GE VE PAZARLAMA HARCAMALARININ PAY DEĞERİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ

Öz:
Bilimsel gelişmenin ve buna paralel olarak teknolojideki gelişmelerin hızı, işletmelerin ar-ge yatırımlarına daha fazla yönelmesine imkân tanımaktadır. Bununla birlikte yoğun küresel rekabet, işletmeleri başarılı olabilmek için farklı pazarlama anlayışlarına sevk etmektedir. Bu iki araç, firmaların ayırt edici yeteneklerini geliştirmekte ve firmalara yeni rekabet avantajları sağlamaktadır. Böylece işletme performansı da bu avantajlardanolumlu şekilde etkilenmektedir. İşletmelerin pay senedi değerleri de bu avantajlardan etkilenen unsurlardan bir tanesidir. Bu çalışmada işletmelerinyapmış oldukları pazarlama ve ar-ge harcamalarının pay senedi değeri üzerindeki etkisini keşfetmek hedeflenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda Türkiye’de çimento sektöründe faaliyet gösteren ve BİST’de işlem gören üç işletme seçilmiş ve bu işletmelerin finansal tablolarından elde edilen verilerle panel regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulguların çoğunluğu, literatürle tutarlı görülmektedir. Literatürle uyumlu olmayan sonuçların araştırmakısıtlarından kaynaklandığı düşünülmektedir.

THE EFFECTS OF R&D AND MARKETING EXPENSES ON STOCK VALUE

Öz:
Scientific and technological developments lead firms to be more R&D oriented. Furthermore, intense global competition encourages firms to different marketing approaches for business success. These two instruments develop distinctive capabilities of firms and provide new competitive advantages to the firm. Thus, firm performance is influenced by these advantages in a positive way. Stock value is also affected by these advantages. In this study, we investigated the effects of marketing and R&D expenses on stock value. In this direction, we selected three firms which operate in the cement sector and are traded in BIST. After obtaining the data, panel data regression analysis has been used to explore the research problem. According to the findings, marketing and R&D expenditures effect stock values positively. Most of the results are consistent with the previous studies. There are some inconsistent results that are thought to stem from the research constraints.
