The Effect of Oestrus Synchronization on Reproductive Performance and Birth Weight in Hair Goats during The Breeding Season

The Effect of Oestrus Synchronization on Reproductive Performance and Birth Weight in Hair Goats during The Breeding Season
Öz: In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of oestru synchronization on the fertility of hairgoats during the breeding season. Animal material of this experiment consisted of 200 heads of hairgoats between 3 and 5 years of age. The animals were divided into two groups, (Control group, KG,n = 100; Oestrus synchronization group, KS, n = 100). The animals in the KS group receivedintravaginal sponges containing 30 mg flugestone acetate which removed after 12 days and 500 IUof PMSG/per animal administered IM. The animals in both groups were mated using bucks for 4days. The single birth rate was 72% in the KG and 35% in the KS group. Fecundity and litter sizewere 1.20 and 1.59 in the control group and 1.25 and 1.64 in the KS group, respectively. As a result,the application of oestrus synchronization in hair goats during the breeding season improved thefertility.

Öz: Bu çalışma ile Kıl keçilerinde üreme mevsimi içinde kızgınlık senkronizasyon uygulamasının döl verimi üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Hayvan materyali olarak 3-5 yaş aralığında toplam 200 baş kıl keçisi kullanılmıştır. Keçiler eşit sayıda olacak şekilde iki gruba ayrılmışlardır (Kontrol grubu, KG n=100; Kızgınlık senkronizasyon grubu, KS, n=100). KS grubuna, 30 mg flugeston asetat içeren sünger takılmış ve 12 gün sonra çıkarılarak hayvan başına 500 IU PMSG kas içi uygulanmıştır. 4 gün süreyle kıl tekeleri kullanılarak çiftleştirme işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Teke katım işlemi her iki grupta da aynı anda başlatılıp 4 gün sonra sonlandırılmıştır. Tekiz doğum oranı KG’da %72, KS grubunda ise %35 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Teke altı keçi başına doğan oğlak sayısı ve doğuran keçi başına doğan oğlak sayısı sırasıyla KG’da 1,20 ve 1,59, KS grubunda ise 1,25 ve 1,64 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Kıl keçilerinde üreme mevsimi içinde kızgınlık senkronizasyon uygulaması döl verimini iyileştirmiştir.
