Pulmoner Rehabilitasyon

Öz:
Pulmoner rehabilitasyon (PR), kronik solunum hastalığı olan hastaların yönetiminde kapsamlı nonfarmakolojik bir uygulamadır. PR, her hastaya özel planlanmalıdır. Hasta eğitimi, egzersiz eğitimi ve öz yönetim davranış değişikliği PR programının temel unsurlarıdır. Fiziyatristler ve diğer branş hekimleri, kronik solunum yolu hastalıklarında PR’nin rolünün yeterince farkında değillerdir. Bu derlemede, yeni literatür ışığında PR’nin temel parçaları olan egzersiz eğitimi ve reçetelemenin yanı sıra eğitim ve kendi kendine yönetim müdahalesi ile ilgilikavramlar özetlenmiştir.

Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is an comprehensivenonpharmacological intervention in the management of patients withchronic respiratory disease. PR should be planned for each patient in dividually. Patient education, exercise training and self-managementbehavior-modification are basic elements of a PR program. Physia trists and other branch physicians are not sufficiently aware of therole PR in chronic respiratory diseases. In this review, the concepts re garding exercise training and prescription, as well as education andself-management intervention as essential parts of PR are summa rized in the light of new literature.
