The Effect on Disease Management of Planned Education in EpilepsyPatients: Systematic Review

Öz:
Epilepsy is a disease mostly seen in the central nervous system. The number of people affe cted is quite high in the World and in Turkey. Individuals with epilepsy and their families needto be trained to control the disease and reduce their anxiety. In effective management of thedisease; self-efficacy, quality of life, and having knowledge about disease are important. Infor ming patients and parents about epilepsy by nurses plays an important role in increasing thesuccess of disease management. The aim of this systematic review study is to determine theeffect of planned education for adults with epilepsy on disease management and to provideevidence that healthcare professionals can benefit from.
