Öz:

Başa çıkma düzenekleri birey kronik strese karşı koymasında kullanılır. Birey bu yolla psikolojik strese karşı koyabilir. Başa çıkma düzenekleri toplumun kültürel düzeyi ile ilişkilidir. Bu çalışmada dializ hastalarının psikolojik sorunları ile nasıl başa çıktıklarını belirlemeyi amaçladık. Bu çalışma sürekli periton dializi alan ve hemodiyalize devam eden hastalar üzerinde yapıldı. Çalışmaya 32 hemodiyaliz ve 10 periton dializi hastası alındı. Hastalara Ruhsal Belirti Tarama Listesi (RBTL), Hamilton Depresyon Ölçeği (Ham-D), Durumluluk ve Süreklilik Kaygı Envanteri (DSKE) ve Stresle Başa çıkma Ölçeği (SBÖ) uygulandı. Hemodiyaliz hastalarında tüm stresle başa çıkma alt ölçekleri periton diyalizli hastalardan yüksekti. Hemodializli hastalar ruhsal durumlarının bozulması nedeniyle periton diyalizli hastalara göre daha fazla başa çıkma yollarına başvurmaktadırlar. Periton diyalizli hastaların hayat kalitelerinin hemodiyalizi! hastalara kıyasla daha yüksek olduğu söylenebilir.

Dializ hastalarının psikiyatrik belirti düzeyleri ve stresle başa çıkma becerileri

Öz:

Coping mechanisms help individuals to defend against chronic stress. On this way an individual can resist psychological stress. Coping mechanisms are interrelated with the cultural status of the population. In this study, the aim was to search the way of coping with psychological problems in dialysis patients. Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and hemodialysis (HD) patients were included in the study. Thirty-two HD and 10 CAPD patients were assessed by using Symptom Checklist-90 Revised (SCL-90-R), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-I and II) and The Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ). In HD patients, all WCQ's subscales were higher than in the CAPD patients. It is plausible to say that, HD patients use more coping ways due to their more dependent life style than the CAPD patients. Therefore, CAPD patients experience higher quality of life than HD patients.
