The consensus of many flute instructors and virtuosos is that a quality flute tone forms the basis of good technique and positively affects musical expression. When different sources on the subject are examined, it is seen that in the first years of flute education, it is focused on developing tone by directing the air to the right point by means of a good posture and holding position and a flexible lip position. In this study, the use of the training material Pneumo Pro for tone development in flute was examined. During the literature review phase of the study, the factors affecting tone production were determined and explained by examining the documents related to flute education. These factors are determined and explained with air column, flexible embouchure, correct holding position..In the findings section, the physical structure of the training material called Pneumo Pro and its use for tone development are explained; The relationship between classical flute training methods and explanations for tone development was examined. Exercise examples and directions that can be applied with Pneumo Pro in the method of Kathy Blocki, the designer of the material, were evaluated by comparing the explanations given about creating an air column, flexible embouchure and holding position, which are emphasized in classical training methods.
