Çocuklarda Genel Anestezi Altında Diş Tedavisi Sonrası Karşılaşılan Şikayetlerin Değerlendirilmesi

Öz:

Giriş ve Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı genel anestezi altında diş tedavileri tamamlanan 2-14 yaş aralığındaki sağlıklı çocuklarda aileler tarafından fark edilen postoperatif komplikasyonların değerlendirilmesidir. Yöntem ve Gereçler: Çalışmaya genel anestezi altında diş tedavilerinin yapılması amacıyla başvuran sistemik olarak sağlıklı ancak kooperasyon kurulamayan çocuklar dahil edilmiştir. Genel anestezi prosedürünü takiben 1. ve 7. günlerde çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan ailelere telefon ile ulaşılmış ve tek bir hekim tarafından anket uygulanarak veri toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan 201 hastanın yaş ortalaması 4,54 ± 0,81 ve diş tedavilerinin tamamlandığı süre ortalaması 2,05±0,33 saattir. 1. günde en sık karşılaşılan postoperatif morbidite ajitasyon (%73,6) olmuştur. Bunu operasyon bölgesinde analjezik verilmesini gerektirecek ağrı şikayeti (%66,5) ve uyku/halsizlik (%30,8) izlemektedir. Ailelerin tamamına yakını (%98) genel anestezi prosedürü ve sonrasında yapılması gerekenler ile ilgili yeterli bilgi verildiğini söylemiştir. Postoperatif ağrı şikayeti (%12,5) 7. günde belirgin oranda azalmış olup, ailelerin %92’si çocuklarının gün içinde diş ile ilgili yaşadığı sorunlarda azalma olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Tartışma ve Sonuç: Genel anestezi altında yapılan diş tedavi sonrası çocuklarda sıklıkla ajitasyon, ağrı, analjezik kullanım ihtiyacı gibi postoperatif semptomlar oluşabilmektedir. Ailelerin karşılaşılabilecek durumları önceden bilmesi önem taşımaktadır.

Öz:

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the postoperative complications that reported by the parents in healthy children (age range 2-14 years) following dental treatments under general anesthesia. Methods: Healthy and uncooperative children undergoing dental general anesthesia were included in the study. Data were collected from the volunteer parents by conducting a survey on phone 1 day and 7 days after the procedure. Results: 201 pediatric patients participated in this study with an average age of 4,54 ± 0,81 years and the mean procedure time was 2,05±0,33 hours. At day 1, the most common postoperative morbidity was agitation (73,6%), followed by pain which required analgesic administration (66,5%) and drowsiness/weariness (30,8%). Almost all of the parents (98%) stated that they had received sufficient information about the general anesthesia procedure and the postoperative period. The postoperative pain (12,5%) significantly decreased at day 7 and 92% of the parents reported considerable decrease in dental related problems which experienced by their child during daily activities. Discussion and Conclusion: Postoperative symptoms such as agitation, pain, need for analgesics could occur commonly in children following dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia. It is important to inform parents about the morbidities that may occur after the procedure.
