TY - JOUR TI - The mediating role of work stress in the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention AB - This study investigated the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention in the context of health sector employees and the mediating role of work stress in the relationship between these two variables. A questionnaire was applied to 350 healthcare workers in Erzincan, Turkey, to obtain the data. Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) package applications was used to analyse the data obtained in the research. The study concluded that work engagement was significantly and negatively related to work stress and turnover intention, and work stress was significantly and positively related to turnover intention. Furthermore, the study determined that work stress has a mediating role in the relationship between work engagement and turnover intention.
