ENFEKSİYON GÖSTERGESİ OLARAK AKUT FAZ REAKTANLARI: C-REAKTİF PROTEİN (CRP) VE SERUM AMİLOİD A (SAA)

Öz:

Akut faz yanıtı (AFY) doku hasarı, enfeksiyon ve travmaya karşı konakçının bir dizi inflamatuar yanıtıdır ve ateşe neden olan pirojenik sitokinler aracılığıyla meydana gelmektedir1. Görevi patojenleri izole ve nötralize etmek, doku hasarını minimuma indirerek başka patojen girişini engellemek, onarımı başlatmak ve böylece konakçı homeostatik mekanizmalarının hızlı bir biçimde normal fizyolojik fonksiyonu kazanmasını sağlamaktır2. AFY, kısa dönemde bir survi mekanizması olmasına rağmen, kronik inflamasyonda uzun süreli devamı olumsuz klinik sonuçlar doğurabilir3.
