bjective: The research was carried out to determine the intensive care experiences, anxiety and depression levels of patients transferred from intensive care units to internal services.Material and Methods: The study was conducted with 187 patients admitted to the service from the internal intensive care units of a city hospital. Patient information form, Intensive Care Experience Scale and Hospital Anx- iety Depression Scale were used. Data were evaluated with descriptive statistics tests, independent groups t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Ethics committee approval and institutional permissions were obtained for the study. Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis in SPSS 23.0 program. In the evaluation of the data, p<0.05 value was considered significant. Results: The majority of the participants; male, 50-64 age group, in the intensive care unit being treated for cardiovascular diseases whose hospitalizations are not planned individuals were identified. Intensive care experience scale mean score of the patients was 61.41±5.16; it was determined that he got 11.95±2.43 points from the Anxiety Sub-Scale of the Hospital Anx- iety and Depression Scale and 11.05±2.60 points from the Depression Sub-Scale, and they were in the risk group in terms of anxiety and de- pression. It was determined that the intensive care experience had a sig- nificant effect of 5.2% on the depression scores of the patients participating in the study. Conclusion: It was determined that the in- tensive care experience of the patients who were transferred from the intensive care unit to the service was positive, but they were risky in terms of anxiety and depression. Planning the nursing care applied to the patients by considering the negative experiences of the patients in the intensive care unit, their anxiety and depression levels and the ef- fective factors will contribute to the recovery levels of the patients.
