İşe bağlı gerginlik ile iş tatmini ilişkisinde duygusal tükenmenin aracı rolü

Öz:
Bu çalışmanın amacı işe bağlı gerginliğin iş tatmini üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak ve bu ilişkideduygusal tükenmenin aracı rolünü analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla Yalova’da yürütülen araştırmaya, Yalovailindeki devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan 350 ilköğretim ve lise öğretmeni katılmıştır. AraştırmadaRevicki ve arkadaşları (1991) tarafından geliştirilen İşe Bağlı Gerginlik ölçeği, Brayfield ve Rothe (1951)tarafından geliştirilen İş Tatmini Ölçeği ve Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeğinin Duygusal Tükenme alt ölçeğikullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamındaki öğretmenlerin iş tatmin düzeylerinin ortalamanın üzerinde, işe bağlıgerginlik ve duygusal tükenme düzeylerinin ise beklenenin aksine ortalama seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Araştırmada ileri sürülen tüm hipotezler doğrulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, işe bağlı gerginlik iş tatminininegatif yönde etkilemektedir ki bu beklenen bir sonuçtur. İşe bağlı gerginliğin duygusal tükenmeye etkisi eldeedilen sonuçlar arasındaki en güçlü etkiye sahiptir. Bunun yanı sıra duygusal tükenmenin işe bağlı gerginlikve iş tatmini arasındaki ilişkide kısmi aracı etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu yöndeki hipotez dedoğrulanmıştır.

The mediating role of emotional exhaustion on job related strain and job satisfaction relationship

Öz:
The aim of the study is to analyze the effect of job related strain on job satisfaction and to reveal themoderating effect of emotional exhaustion in this relation. For the purpose of the study, 350 elementary andmiddle school teachers participated the study conducted in Yalova. Study measured the job related strain by ascale developed by Revicki and friends(1991), job satisfaction by Brayfield and Rothe's (1951) jobsatisfaction scale and emotional exhaustion by Maslach's Burnout Scale's subscale regarding emotionalexhaustion. Job satisfaction levels of teachers in the sample is above the average while the job related strainand emotional exhaustion level was found to be at average level contrary to expectation. The entirehypothesis of the study was verified. As expected, job related strain negatively affected job satisfaction. Oneof the biggest effects came from job related strain effect on emotional exhaustion. Besides, it was revealedthat emotional exhaustion played a mediating role in the relation between job related strain and emotionalexhaustion.
