PAZAR YÖNELİMLİ FİRMALARIN İHRACAT PERFORMANSINDA STRATEJİK SEÇİMLERİN ARACI ROLÜ: ULUSLARARASI LOJİSTİK FİRMALARI ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz:
Bu çalışma, Türk lojistik sektöründe uluslararası faaliyet gösteren firmaların, pazar yöneliminin ve stratejik seçimlerinin ihracat performansına olan etkisini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, özellikle günümüz uluslararası firmaları için en gerekli olan pazar yönelimin, ihracat performansı üzerindeki etkisi özelinde stratejik seçimin aracı (mediator) rolünün varlığı ile değişkenler arası etkileşimin nasıl olduğu araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, Türk lojistik sektöründe faaliyet gösteren Yabancı ve Türk menşeli Uluslararası Lojistik ve Hizmet Üretenler Derneği’ne kayıtlı 460 firma olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, tesadüf örnekleme yöntemi uygulanarak araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 256 firma ve her bir firmadan bir üst düzey yönetici seçilerek belirlenmiştir. Amaçlanan çalışma için bir araştırma modeli oluşturularak, bu modele bağlı hipotezler geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma için oluşturulan anket formları tüm yöneticiler ile yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile dağıtılmış ve uygulanan anket verileri bu şekilde toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler üzerinde Yapısal Eşitlik Modellemesi yöntemi kullanılarak analizler yapılmıştır. Pazar yönelimi-ihracat performansı arasındaki ilişkilerin analizinde, stratejik seçimin dolaylı etkide bulunarak tam aracı ilişkisi gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Sonuçta, Türk lojistik sektöründeki uluslararası firmaların stratejik seçimlerinin ne kadar önemli olduğu ve ihracat performansının artırılmasında çok önemli bir tamamlayıcı olduğu belirlenmiştir.

THE INTERMEDIATE ROLE OF STRATEGIC CHOICES IN THE EXPORT PERFORMANCE OF MARKET-ORIENTED COMPANIES: A RESEARCH ON INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS COMPANIES

Öz:
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of market orientation and strategic choices of companies operating internationally in the Turkish logistics sector on their export performance. In the study, the existence of the mediator role of strategic choice in the context of the effect of market orientation, which is indispensable for today's international companies, on export performance and the interaction between variables were investigated. The universe of the research was determined as 460 foreign and Turkish origin companies registered with the International Logistics and Service Providers Association operating in the Turkish logistics sector. The sample of the research was determined by using the random sampling method by choosing 256 companies that agreed to participate in the study and one top manager from each company. A research model was created for the intended study, and hypotheses based on this model were developed. The questionnaire forms for research were distributed and applied to the face-to-face interview method with all managers and the survey data are collected in this way. The data obtained were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling. In the analysis of the relationships between market orientation and export performance, it was determined that the strategic choice had an indirect effect and showed a full mediation relationship. As a result, it was determined how important the strategic choices of international companies in the Turkish logistics sector are, and that they are a very important complement in increasing export performance.
