Milliyetçilik-Göç İlişkisi Üzerine Teorik Bir Perspektif
Öz: Milliyetçilik, ulusal kimlik inşasına dayanmaktadır. Bu inşa süreci biz ve öteki ayrımıyla gerçekleşmekte ve göç edenler ulusal kimliğin ötekisini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çerçevede göç güvenlik meselesi olarak ön plana çıkmakta, göç edenlerin oluşturduğu tehdit algısı milliyetçiliği yükseltmektedir. Bunun karşısında göçmenler de gittikleri yerlerde milliyetçiliği diasporalar vasıtasıyla sürdürebilmektedir. Etnik dönüş göçleri ise milliyetçiliğin kurucu bir gücü olarak görülebilir. Sonuç itibariyle göç, milliyetçilik açısından hem bir meydan okuma hem de onu üretmesi yönüyle önemli işleve sahiptir.
Anahtar Kelime: A Theoretical Perspective on the Nationalism-Migration Relationship
Öz: Nationalism is based on the construction of national identity. This construction process takes place with the distinction between us and the other, and the immigrants constitute the other of the national identity. In this framework, migration comes to the forefront as a security issue, and the perception of threat created by immigrants raises nationalism. On the other hand, immigrants can continue their nationalism through diasporas wherever they go. Ethnic return migrations can be seen as a founding force of nationalism. As a result, immigration has an important function in terms of both a challenge and producing it in terms of nationalism.
