Traditionally, central administrations take into consideration many factors within the country while they prepare government budgets. One of the ingredient is how to take care of children and their future. It is important to protect children's rights in the understanding of social state and to show that this is a serious element. Accordingly, child- friendly budgeting actually means to make sure that the government budget should concentrate on generating direct solutions about basic issues of children such as poverty, malnutrition, lack of education, shel- tering, and protection. It tells us that it becomes a significant priority for states to allowance enough support for children in expense items and allocate funds to solution of children’s problems. In this study, Turkey, which is not yet at a sufficient level in terms of child-friendly budget, is compared with countries with developed budget implementation. As a result, implementation suggestions for Turkey are given and the impor- tance of child-friendly budget for economic development goals is emp- hasized.
