The purpose of the in-depth interview is to reveal the experiences, thoughts and perceptions of the interviewer, to uncover the unknown, to discover new things. In this study, it is aimed to conceptually analyze the in-depth interview technique, which is frequently used in qualitative study patterns and is one of the qualitative data collection techniques, and to provide descriptive information Decisively. Sociology, medicine, clinical studies, social studies, anthropology, criminology and psychology, and technique as the preferred method of many disciplines, such as data collection, detailed and multidimensional data can deliver. Due to the fact that there are not many and widespread studies on in-depth interview technique in the literature, it is thought that this study may make a scientific and academic contribution to the literature. In the study, descriptive analysis was made about what the concept of in-depth interview means, what are the types and characteristics of the interview, and what issues may need to be applied in the interview. Although in-depth interview is a data collection technique that can also be carried out with the internet environment and video camera systems due to epidemic diseases such as pandemic, it is thought that face-to-face and in the interviewer's natural habitat can give healthier results. For this reason, the researcher will be able to provide interviews in the interviewees' workplaces, homes and the social environment they live in, which may also provide an advantage in terms of observation.
