Görsel analog ölçeği ve duygu kafesi: kültürümüzde uyarlama çalışması

Öz:
Bu çalışmanın amacı Görsel Analog Ölçeği (GAÖ) ve Duygu Kafesi olarak adlandırılan iki farklı duygu ölçeğinin geçerlik ve güvenirliğini araştırmaktır. GAÖ, Duygu Kafesi ve Pozitif ve Negatif Duygu Ölçeği (PNDÖ), 401 üniversite öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. GAÖ'nün yapı geçerliğini belirleyebilmek için 'varimaks' eksen döndürme yöntemine göre temel bileşenler faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda üç faktör belirlenmiştir: (1) Endişe/ Huzursuzluk, (2) Olumlu Duygu, (3) Düşmanlık. GAÖ'nün alt ölçeklerinin sahip olduğu Cronbach Alfa katsayıları .73 ve .93 aralığındadır. Test-tekrar test güvenirlik katsayıları sırasıyla .46, .29 ve .45 olarak belirlenmiştir. GAÖ'nün alt ölçekleriyle PNDÖ'nün alt ölçekleri arasındaki ilişki katsayıları -.34 ve .66 aralığındadır. Elde edilen bu değerler beklenen yönde ve anlamlıdır. Sonuçlar Duygu Kafesinin hoşnutluk boyutu ile PNDÖ'nün beklenen yönde ilişkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca PNDÖ'nün uyarılmışlığı ölçtüğü düşünülen bazı maddeleri ile Duygu Kafesi'nin uyarılma boyutu karşılaştırılmıştır. Duygu Kafesi'nin uyarılma boyutu PNDÖ maddeleriyle ilişkili bulunmuştur. Ancak bu ilişki "aktif' maddesi için söz konusu değildir. Duygu Kafesi'nin hoşnutluk boyutu için test-tekrar test güvenirlik katsayısı .26 dır. Uyarılma boyutu için ise test-tekrar test güvenirliği tatmin edici değildir. Sonuçlar literatür ve çalışmanın sınırlılıkları çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.

Visual analog scale and affect grıd: an application to Turkısh culture

Öz:
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of two different affect scales; Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Affect Grid. VAS and Affect Grid and, Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) were administrated to 401 university students. In order to determine the construct validity of VAS, factor analysis was conducted by using principal components analysis with varimax rotation. As a result of the analysis three factors were identified: (1) anxiety/distress, (2) positive affect, (3) hostility. The Cronbach's alpha coefficients of the VAS's subscales ranged between .73 and .93. The test-retest reliability coefficients were respectively .46, .29, and .45. The correlation coefficients of the VAS subscales with PANAS subscales ranged between -.34 and .66. These values were found to be in the expected direction and statistically significant. Results showed that Affect Grid pleasure dimension correlated with the PANAS in the expected direction. Further, some PANAS items which are thought to be the measure of arousal were compared with the Affect Grid arousal dimension. Affect Grid arousal dimension correlated with PANAS items. However, "active" item was not included in the correlation. The test-retest reliability coefficient of Affect Grid pleasure dimension was .26. For the arousal dimension test- retest reliability was not satisfactory. These results are discussed in the light of the literature and the limitations of the study
