Otonom öğrenme

Öz:
Son yirmi yılda bilgi teknolojisi, psikoloji ve toplumdibilim alanlarında hızlı gelisme ve değismeler yasanmaktadıır. Bu değisimeler ve gelismeler toplumda yasam boyu öğrenme sürecine gereksinimi ve eğitime olan ihtiyacı artırmıstır. Yasam boyu öğrenmede kendi eğitim yasamını sekillendirmede sorumlu olan bireyin kendisidir. Bundan dolayı eğiticiler öğrenmelerin içeriğini ve sürecini kendisi kontrol eden bireylerin yetistirilmelerinde büyük ihtiyaç hissetmektedirler. Bu çalısma otonom öğrenme kavramının tanımı, tarihsel süreç içerisinde gelisimi, önemi, öğretmenin rolu hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Ayrıca otonom öğrenmenin nasıl islevsel hale getirelibilecği hakkında açıklamalar sunmaktadır.

Over the last twenty years, there have been many changes and developments in the fields of information technology, psychology and sociolinguistics. These changes and developments have increased the need for education and the require life-long learning process in society. In life-long learning, it is individual who is responsible for shaping his/her own educational life. Therefore, educators feel great need to train learners taking control over the process and content of their own learning. This study gives knowledge about definition of learner autonomy, its development in historical process, its importance and the rule of teacher. Furthermore, this study gives explanations about how to make learner autonomy functional.
