TY - JOUR TI - Evaluation of facade features in green building certified office buildings in terms of energy efficiency AB - The energy crisis in the world and reaching the point of depletion of resources have pushed the construction industry to seek the use of renewable energy resources. The sustainability approach that comes to the fore with this has gained an important place in the construction sector as well as in all other sectors. The construction of office buildings, which have a high energy consumption rate among the building groups, within the framework of sustainability principles is a result of this search. From this point of view, the aim of this study is to evaluate the facade features of sustainable office buildings with green building certificate within the scope of energy efficiency and to reveal the current practices. Within the scope of the study, 20 office buildings located in the world and in the literature were analyzed in detail in terms of their facade features. These analyzes are grouped under the titles of building envelope, facade material, integration of active and passive systems. In the light of the data obtained, it has been revealed that sustainable office buildings have facade applications for the use of renewable energy sources.
