Öz:

Yaklaşık 40 yıldan beri bakım kavramına ilişkin yazılar bulunmakla birlikte günümüzde hala belirsizlikleri yapısında barındırmaktadır. “Bakım” kavramının anlaşılırlığı ve doğru kullanımının artması doğal olarak mesleğin profesyonel gelişimine de katkı sağlayacaktır. “Bakım” kavramı, Türkçe sözlükte; bakma işi, bir şeyin iyi durumda kalması için gösterilen özen, harcanan emek, birinin beslenme, giyim vb. gereksinimlerini üstlenme ve sağlama işi olarak tanımlanmıştır. İngilizce sözcük tanımlarında “care” kavramı, koruma, sakınma, dikkat, kaygı anlamları taşımaktadır. Hemşirelik kuramları bakım kavramını felsefi, psikolojik ve antropolojik boyutta irdelemektedir. Literatürde, sağlık çalışanları, hemşirelik eğitimi sürecinde olan öğrenciler ile hasta ve ailelerinin bakım kavramına yönelik algıları incelenmiştir. Özellikle her üç grupta vurgulanan ortak temaların, saygı, duyarlılık, katılım, değer verme olduğu görülmektedir. Kavram analizi rehberliğinde yazılan bu çalışmada bakım kavramının çeşitli boyutlarıyla tanımlanması yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak bakım kavramının tanımının kolay olmadığı çoğunlukla ilişkisel bir kavram olduğu şefkat, duyarlılık, değer verme, katılma, ahlaki zorunluluk, terapötik müdahale, ilişki, bilgi verme, hasta ve ailelerinin hemşirelerden açık ve net bilgiler alma, soruların cevaplanması ve beklentilerin de kavramın içinde yer aldığı görülmektedir

Öz:

Despite many researches about health care made in last 40 years there are still many undefinite points about the concept ‘’care’’. Arising in understanding the care concept naturally has positive effects on Professional development of nursing. Care word has two meanings in Turkish. Efforts to keep something stay in its good position and to provide somethings for someone’s basic necesarries like food , wears etc. In English care word means attention, guarding, stress, etc. Nursing theories investigate the care concept philosphically, anthoropologically and psychologically. In literature the perceptions of health care workers, nursing students, patients and their relatives about the care concept are examined. Common concepts of these groups’ perceptions are participation, respect, sensitivity and appreciating. This study uses the concept analyse method and tries to define care concept in different aspects. As a result, care concept is relational concept and defining the care concept is not easy. Care concept also includes sensitivity, participation, respect, appreciating, tenderness, ethical responsibilities, therapathic intervention, information and information demands of patients and their relatives.
