Gamma-glutamil transferaz aktivitesi ve kardiyovasküler hastalıklar

Öz:
Gamma-glutamil transferaz, hepatik enflamasyonun hassas bir göstergesi olarak kullanılan önemli bir ikinci kuşak enzimatik karaci- ğer fonksiyon testidir. Ayrıca bu glikoprotein türünün düşük ağırlıklı lipoprotein kolestrolün oksidasyonunda da rol oynadığı gösteril- miştir. Yapılan çalışmalar, okside kolestrol düzeyi ile koroner arter hastalığı arasındaki ilişkiyi açıkça göstermiştir. Bütün bu bilgiler ışı- ğında testin artmış kardiyovasküler riskli bireylerde bir biyobelirteç olarak kullanımı sorgulanmaya başlanmıştır.

Öz:
Gamma-glutamyl transferase is an important second generation enzymatic liver function test for the diagnosis of hepatic inflamma- tion. It has been shown that this type of glycoprotein had a role in the oxidation of low density lipoprotein cholesterol. Studies obvi- ously showed the relation between oxide cholesterol level and coronary artery disease. With all these information, this test started to be questioned for using as a biomarker in people with increased cardiovascular risk
