Afet yönetiminde halk sağlığı hemşiresinin rol ve sorumlulukları

Öz:

Afet yönetimi Toplum Sağlığı Merkezleri’nin görevleri arasında yer almakla birlikte hemşirelerin afet yönetimindeki görev ve sorumlulukları kapsamında yeterli bilgi bulunmamaktadır. Toplumun genel yapısı ve sağlık durumu hakkında kapsamlı bilgiye sahip olmaları, program planlama, toplumu değerlendirme ve grup dinamiklerinde uzman olmaları nedeniyle halk sağlığı hemşireleri afet yönetiminde anahtar role sahiptir. Bu makalede halk sağlığı hemşireliği kavramı toplum temelli alanlarda çalışan hemşireler için kullanılmıştır. Halk sağlığı hemşirelerinin afet yönetimine aktif katılabilmesi için üzerine düşen sorumlulukları bilmesi önemlidir. Bu makalede ülkemizde afete hazırlık konusundaki araştırmalar ile mevcut durum incelenmiş, halk sağlığı hemşirelerinin afet yönetimindeki rol ve sorumlulukları hazırlık, yanıt ve iyileşme aşamalarında açıklanmıştır.

Public health nurses’ roles and responsibilities in disaster management

Öz:

Disaster management takes places among tasks of Community Health Centers; however there is not enough information about scope of duties and responsibilities of nurses in disaster management. Public health nurses have comprehensive information about general structure of the society and health status, program planning, community assessment and specialist in group dynamics so they have a key role in disaster management. Concept of public health nursing issued for nurses who work in community health-based organizations in this article. It is important knowing responsibilities of public health nurses for participating actively in disaster management. In this paper the current situation in the country is revi- ewed in line with research on disaster preparedness, public health nurses’ roles and responsibilities in disaster manage- ment is explained as preparedness, response and recovery phases.
