AB  - Özet-Türkçe dersinde temel bir öğrenme aracı olan metinler güncel ve geçmiş yaşam- dan izler taşıdığı, kişiler arası etkili iletişime vurgu yaptığı için genç kuşaklara kazan- dırılmak istenen değerlerin iletilmesinde önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. İlkokul çağın içerisinde bulunulan dönem itibariyle değer eğitimi açısından özel bir öneme sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim 4. sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında yer alan metinleri ince- leyerek var olan değerleri belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Değerlerin belirlenmesinde Aydın ve Ak- yol Gürler (2012) tarafından yapılan sınıflandırma temel alınmıştır. Çalışmada, kitapta yer alan metinlerin tümü incelenerek değerler ve değerlerin yer aldığı tümcelere ilişkin örnek alıntılara yer verilmiştir. Metinlerde yer alan değerler dört ana grupta toplanmıştır. 1. Sosyal yaşama ilişkin değerler; 2. Evrensel düşüncenin gelişimine ilişkin değerler; 3. Ülkeye bağlılığa ilişkin değerler; 4. Kişinin kendisini tanımasına ilişkin değerler. Türk- çe Dersi kitabında yer alan metinlerde en çok vurgulanan üç alt değer sırasıyla doğa sevgisi/doğal çevreye duyarlılık (% 35), iyimser olma/olumlu düşünebilme (% 27,5), millet sevgisi (% 22,5) değerleridir. programs (Ekinci, Çelikpazu & Aktaş, 2011; Köylü, 2004, p. 53; Sevinç, 2004, p. 233). Robb (1998) takes values education as any activity within any organi- zation that is aiming to train individuals so that they can openly express the va- lues behind their behaviors, evaluate the long-term welfare for themselves and others, and learn or reflect other values that they think would be more effective on long-term welfare of themselves and others. Values education should be implemented with a systematic plan for the peace of individuals and others in the society. If the course contents are examined in terms of identifying and delivering the values on a systematic and planned basis, it can be seen that the Turkish course has an important mission in this respect (Bacanlı, 2006; Turan, 2012; MEB, 2005). Turkish is one of the basic courses developing individuals communication with others and contributing their process of socialization (Belet & Deveci, 2008; Cemiloğlu, 2003; Kavcar, 1999; Şen, 2007). Reading texts as being the main materials of the Turkish course can present students effective messages by describing different aspects of life. Mostly inc- luded in introduction to science and social studies courses, values education has an important place in the Turkish course in this sense. The purpose of this study is to examine the inclusion of values in the texts in 4th grade Turkish textbooks and make evaluations in this regard.
