Mekonyum aspirasyon sendromu

Öz:
Mekonyum Aspirasyon Sendromu (MAS)Mekonyum aspirasyonu, tipik olarak fetal hipoksik iskemik stresin intestinal peristaltizme yol açarak,amniyotik sıvının mekonyum ile kontaminasyonu ve gasping sonucu akciğerin derin dokularına kadarnüfuz etmesi ile ortaya çıkar. Tüm doğumların %10-15inde amniyotik sıvı mekonyum ile kontamineiken bu bebeklerin %5-10unda mekonyum aspirasyonu ve solunum yetersizliği gelişir. Bu derlemede,MAS klinik bulguları, tanısal ve tedavisel yaklaşımı ile ilgili güncel bilgiler sunulmaktadır.

Meconium aspiration syndrome (mas)

Öz:
Aspiration of meconium typically occurs after fetal hypoxic/ischemic stress leading to intestinalperistalsis, meconium contamination of the amniotic fluid, and gasping respirations that draw thenoxious meconium-stained fluid deep into the lung. Meconium contamination of amniotic fluid occursin 10 15% of all pregnancies, and 5 10% of these infants develop meconium aspiration syndromeand respiratory failure. This review presents the update data on clinical, diagnostic and treatmentapproach for MAS.
