TÜRKÇEDE ÖZNE SEÇME HİYERARŞİSİ
Öz: Dillerde özne seçmenin evrensel kabul edilen belirli bir hiyerarşisi olduğu ileri sürülür. Farklı dil bilimsel kuramlar farklı özne seçme hiyerarşileri (ÖSH) düzenlemişlerdir. Dikin (1989) ÖSHsine göre Türkçede kesme noktasının Konu ya da Erek anlam bilimsel rolü olduğu ileri sürülür. Ancak bütün diller için evrensel bir özne seçme hiyerarşisi olmadığı gibi Türkçede kesme noktası da Konu ya da Erekle sınırlandırılamaz. Türkçede hem etken hem de edilgen görünüşlü bir cümlede farklı anlam bilimsel rollerin özne seçtiği, kesme noktasının ise ileri sürülenin aksine Hedef, Kaynak, Yer ve Güzergâh rollerine kadar uzandığı iddia edilebilir. Anlam bilimsel rol listesi dillere göre nasıl değişiyorsa ÖSHnin de dillere özgü biçimde değişmesi beklenir. Bu açıdan Türkçe ÖSHnin Eden > Araç/ Güç/ Sebep > Deneyimci/ Faydalanan/ Alıcı > Etkilenen > Konu/ Uyarıcı/ Bilişsel İçerik > Süreç > Hedef/ Kaynak/ Yer/ Güzergâh şeklinde olduğu söylenebilir. Zaman, Durum ve Amaç rollerinin ise Türkçede özne seçemediği görülür.

Subject Choice Hierarchy in Turkish
Öz: It is asserted that subject choice has the hierarchy which is accepted as universal across languages. Different linguistic theories have regulated different subject choice hierarchies. According to Dik s (1989) ÖSH, it is asserted that the cut-off point is the Theme or the Goal which are semantic roles in Turkish. As there is no universal ÖSH for all the languages however, in Turkish the cut-off point cannot be limited with the Theme or the Goal as well. It can be asserted that in both active and passive sentence various semantic roles choose subject in Turkish and besides the cut-off point extends to Destination, Source, Location and Path unlike the one which is accepted. Because the semantic role lists differ according to languages, ÖSH is also expected to differ according to languages. In this respect, it can be said that the ÖSH of Turkish is Agent > Instrument/ Force/ Cause > Experiencer/ Beneficiary/ Recipient > Patient > Theme/ Stimulus/ Content > Process > Goal/ Source/ Location/ Path. It has appeared that In Turkish the roles of Time, Manner and Pupose cannot select the subject
