Okulöncesi Dönemdeki Çocukların Sosyal Davranışları: Mizaç ve Duygu Düzenlemenin Rolü

Okulöncesi Dönemdeki Çocukların Sosyal Davranışları: Mizaç ve Duygu Düzenlemenin Rolü

Öz:
Bu araştırmada, mizaç özellikleri ve duygu düzenleme becerilerinin 4-6 yaş grubundaki çocukların sosyal davranışları üzerinde oynadığı rolün belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Enlemesine kesitsel desende yürütülen araştırmaya 238 çocuğun (114 erkek ve 124 kız) anneleri ve anaokullarındaki sınıf öğretmenleri katılmıştır. Çocukların mizaç özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla anne bildirimine dayanan 'Çocuklar için Kısa Mizaç Ölçeği', duygu düzenleme becerilerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla anne ve öğretmen bildirimine dayanan 'Çocukların Duygularını Değerlendirme Ölçeği' ve 'Okulöncesi Sosyal Davranış Ölçeği-Öğretmen Formu' kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, 4 yaşındaki çocukların, 5 ve 6 yaşındakilere göre daha az olumlu sosyal davranış sergilediklerini göstermiştir. Sosyal davranışların cinsiyete göre farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur. Duygu düzenleme becerileri ile olumlu sosyal davranışlar ve saldırganlık arasındaki ilişkiler anlamlıdır. Tepkisel olan çocukların duygu düzenlemede daha az becerili oldukları ve daha az olumlu sosyal davranış sergiledikleri görülmüştür. Tepkisel çocukların, duygudüzenleme becerilerinin de düşük olmasının daha fazla açık saldırgan davranış sergilemeyle ilişkili olduğu belirlenmiştir.
