Circumcision is the most common operation performed on male individuals throughout the world. There are several techniques deflned to remove the penile foreskin to uncover the glans. Although, none ofthem is technically difficult, circumcision is accompanied by a rate of morbidity with a reported incidence of complications varying from 0.1% to 35%. in this study a Dartos fascia sparing Circumcision technique is presented in detail with its advantages. During the last seven years, 63 boys with their ages ranging from 3 months to 7 years have undergone the procedure. The follow up ranged from 4 months to 6 years with a mean period of 3.1 years. With Dartos sparing Circumcision a bulkiness just beneath the corona was noted in the early postoperative days. Apart from a single case of hematoma no other complications have been encountered. The overall aesthetic results were satisfactory and the incision zone and the surrounding skin were freely movable on the underlying deep fascia. We believe that Dartos fascia is an important layer in the anatomical continuity of the penis and it should not be removed within the excised prepucial skin in the event of circumcision.
