Sezaryenle ve Normal Doğum Yapan Kadınlarda Postpartum Posttravmatik Stres Bozukluğu

Öz:

Amaç: Postpartum posttravmatik stres bozukuluğunun (PTSB) doğum yapma yoluyla ilgisini araştırmak.Gereç ve Yöntem: Postpartum birinci aydan sonra lohusa kontrolü için başvuran hastalara postpartum PTSB'nun tanısında kullanılan "Post-traumatic stress disorder checklist-civilian version (PTSDC-CV)" uygulandı.Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan 25 hasta sezaryen, 25 hasta vajinal yolla doğum yapmıştı. Elektif sezaryenle doğum yapan 1 hastada (% 4) pospartum PTSB tespit edildi. Normal doğum yapan hastalarla, sezaryenle doğum yapan hastaların travma puanları arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmadı. Travaydan veya acil olarak sezaryene alınan hastalar ile elektif sezaryen yapılan hastaların travma puanları arasında anlamlı fark saptanmadı. Sonuç: Doğum yapma yoluyla postpartum PTSB arasında bir ilişki saptamadık. Sağlık çalışanlarının postpartum PTSB olasılığını akılda tutmalarının ve hastalara uygun doğum desteğinin sağlanmasının önemli olduğu düşüncesindeyiz

Postpartum Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Women Delivering Vaginally or by Cesarean Section

Öz:

Objective: To detect the relationship of postpartum posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with the delivery mode.Material and Method: Patients presenting for postpartum control 1 month after delivery were asked to fill a questionnaire used in the diagnosis of postpartum PTSD, 'Posttraumatic stress disorder checklist-civilian version (PTSDC-CV)'.Results: Twenty-five patients delivered vaginally and 25 patients had cesarean section. Only 1 patient (4 %) delivering with elective cesarean section had postpartum PTSD. There was no statistically significant difference in trauma points of patients delivering vaginally or with cesarean section. Patients delivering with elective or emergency cesarean section had similar trauma scores. Conclusion: There was no relationship between postpartum PTSD and the mode of delivery The probability of postpartum PTSD should be kept in mind by healthcare providers and appropriate support should be provided to women giving birth
