Akut Apandisit Hastalarında Ameliyat Öncesi Serum C-Reaktif Protein ve Lökosit Değerleri Perforasyon Varlığının Ön Görülebilmesinde Etkili Midir?

Öz:

Amaç: Çalışmada akut apandisit düşünülen hastalarda, kanda bakılan lökosit düzeyleri ve C-reaktif protein (CRP) değerlerinin apendiks perforasyonu varlığı ile olan ilişkilerinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Materyal ve Metod: 2013-2014 yılları arasında akut apandisit tanısı ile opere edilen 101 hastanın lökosit ve CRP değerleri incelendi. Çalışmaya dahil edilen hastalar grup 1 - perfore apandisit (n=17) ve grup 2 - perfore olmamış akut apandisit (n=84) olarak iki gruba ayrıldı. Bulgular: Ne lökosit düzeyleri ne de CRP değerleri açısından grup 1 ve grup 2 arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamadı (p=0.170; p=0.446).Sonuç: CRP değerlerinin yüksekliği akut apandisit düşünülenhastalarda apendiks perforasyonu lehine bir bulgu olarakdeğerlendirilebilse de, akut apandisit hastalarında serum lökositve CRP değerleri apendiks perforasyonu varlığının tespitinde tekbaşlarına tanısal olarak yeterli olamamaktadırlar.

Are Preoperative serum C-reactive Protein and Leucocyte Values Useful To Predict the Perforation in Patients with Acute Appendicitis?

Öz:

Aim and background: The aim of the study is to evaluate the relation between serum leucocyte and C-reaktive protein (CRP) levels and appendix perforation in cases who underwent surgery with acute appendicitis prediagnosis. Material and method: One hundred and one patients who underwent appendectomy between year 2013 and 2014 were evaluated. Patients were divided into two groups: group 1 - patients with perforated appendicitis (n=17) and group 2 - patients with nonperforated appendicitis (n=84).Results: No statistically difference was found between two group (p=0.170; p=0.446).Sonuç: CRP değerlerinin yüksekliği akut apandisit düşünülen hastalarda apendiks perforasyonu lehine bir bulgu olarak değerlendirilebilse de, akut apandisit hastalarında serum lökosit ve CRP değerleri apendiks perforasyonu varlığının tespitinde tek başlarına tanısal olarak yeterli olamamaktadırlar.regarding the blood leucocyte and CRP levels (p=0,170; p=0,446).Conclusion: Although increased CRP value may be considered as a finding for appendiceal perforation, serum leucocyte and CRP levels in patients with acute appendicitis can not be sufficient to predict the presence of perforated appendix alone.
