Erken Ergenlikte Anne-baba Tutumlarının Yaşam Doyumu ve Depresyonla İlişkisi: Benlik Saygısının Aracılık Rolü

Öz:
Bu çalışmanın amacı, erken ergenlikte benlik saygısının, anne-baba tutumları ile yaşam doyumu ve depresyon arasındaki aracı rolünün olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını 11-14 yaşları arasında (ort. = 12.67, Ss = .97) 216'sı kız, 144'ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 360 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, Yaşam Doyumu ölçeği, Çocuklar İçin Depresyon Ölçeği, Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Anne-Baba Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri yapısal eşitlik modeline dayalı olarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz için her bir ölçeğin madde sayısına göre yapay faktörler üretilerek ölçüm ve yapısal model olmak üzere iki aşamalı bir yöntem ile veriler hesaplanmıştır. Sonuçta, ölçüm modeli için yapılan doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uyum değerleri kabul edilebilir düzeye ulaşmıştır. Yapısal model için doğrudan, tam ve kısmi modeller test edildi. Sonuçta, her üç modele ait uyum değerleri kabul edilebilir düzeye erişmiştir. Sonuçlar incelendiğinde, erken ergenlerin benlik saygısının, katı/kısıtlayıcı anne ve baba tutumu ile yaşam doyumu ve depresyon arasında kısmi düzeyde aracılık rolü bulunurken benlik saygısının kabul edici anne-baba tutumu ile yaşam doyumu arasında aracılık rolü bulunmamıştır
