The effect of educationand counseling services given to the primipar amothers during postpartumperiod on infantcare, anxietylevel and role of motherhood

Öz:
Bu araştırmanın amacı, primipar annelere verilen planlı hemşirelik eğitimive danışmanlık hizmetlerinin, annelerin doğum sonrası bebek bakımına,kaygı düzeylerine ve annelik rolüne etkisini belirlenmesidir. On-sontesti olan kontrol gruplu araştırma modeli olarak planlanan bu çalışmaGülhane Askeri Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Polikliniğindeyürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın örneklemini 76 primipar anne (42 kontrolgrubu-36 çalışma grubu) oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasındaAnnelerin Tanıtıcı Ozelliklerini ve Bebek Bakımına Yönelik Bilgi DüzeyiniBelirleme Formu, Yeni Bir Bebeğin Ebeveyni Olmak Olçeği, Durumlukve Süreklilik Kaygı Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Doğumdan sonra bebekbakımına ilişkin eğitim ve danışmanlık hizmeti çalışma grubundakiannelere bebek üçüncü ayını bitirene kadar düzenlenmiş, her anneyedoğum sonrası en az beş kez eğitim verilmiştir. Çalışma ve kontrolgrubunda yer alan annelerin çoğunluğunun daha önceden bebek bakımdeneyimi olmamış (% 73.7) ve annelerin çoğunluğu doğum sonrasıtaburculuk eğitimi almamışlardır (% 68.4). Çalışma grubunda yer alanannelerin eğitim sonrası bebek bakımına ilişkin bilgi puanları kontrolgrubuna göre daha fazla bulunmuş ve aradaki farklılık istatistiksel olarakanlamlı bulunmuştur (t=15.163; p<0.001). Çalışma grubunda bulunanannelerin ilk üç ay durumluk kaygı düzeyi, kontrol grubundaki anneleregöre belirgin şekilde azalmıştır. (7.gün: :40.18, 1.ay: :34.79, 3.ay::29.97).Doğum sonrası dönemde primipar annelere bireyselleşmiş,sürek|i veişbirlikçi eğitim ve danışmanlık yaklaşımı ile optimum bebek bakımısağlanabilir,anne|erin kaygıları azaltılabilir ve yeni rollerine uyumkolaylaştırılabilir.

The effect of education and counseling services given to the primiparamothers during postpartum period on infant care, anxiety level and roleof motherhoodThe purpose of this study is to determine the effect ofscheduled education and counseling services given to the primiparamothers about postpartum infant care, the role of motherhood andanxiety level. This study was planned as control group research modelwith pre-post test and it was conducted inDepartment of Pediatrics ofGulhane Military Medical FacultyThe sample of the research consists of76 primipara mothers (42 control groups-36 study groups ). Form forDescriptive Charecteristics and The Level of Knowledge of MotherAboutInfant Care, What Being The Parent ofA Baby Is Like Scale, and StateTraitAnxiety Inventory were used while collecting data. Counselingservice and education about postpartum infant care was arranged formothers until baby fınished the third month. Most of the mothers in thestudyand control groups (73.7%) have never had infant care experiencebefore, and 68.4% of the mothers have not received postpartumdischarge education. The post- training information points about babycare of the mothers in the studygroup was found to be higher comparedto the control group and the difference between them was found to bestatistically meaningful (t=15.163; p<0.001). In the first three monthsstate anxiety level of the mothers in the experimental group decreasedsignificantly compared to the mothers in the control group (Day 7: :40.18;Month 1: :34.79; Month 3: 29.97).Providing individualized, continuous and collaborative trainingand counseling approach to women in postpartum period, optimalinfant care can be provided, anxiety of mothers can be reducedand adaptation of mothers to their new roles can be easier.
