Öz:

Globalleşme ile birlikte lojistiğin her geçen gün öneminin arttığı yadsınamaz bir gerçektir ve bunun bir sonucu olarak her geçen gün lojistikle ilgili yeni kavramlar gündemimize girmektedir. Bu yeni kavramlardan birisi de tersine lojistik olup, ürünlerin müşterilere teslimi sonrası hasar, kullanım süresi dolması, modası geçme, tamir vb. nedenlerle ya da ürün ambalajlarının geri dönüşüm amacıyla kaynak noktalarına dogru ters yönde lojistiğinin planlanması ve gerçekleştirilmesi faaliyetidir. Diğer taraftan dünya nüfusundaki artış gıda sektörünü her zamankinden daha önemli hale getirmekte ve bu süreç gıda konusunda bölgesinde önemli bir aktör olan Türkiye'de lojistik sektörünün gelişmesi için önemi fırsatlar sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye'de gıda sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin tersine lojistiğe bakışlarını, tersine lojistik faaliyetleri sırasında karşılaştıkları sorunları ortaya koyma ve bu sorunlara ilişkin çözüm önerileri sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu çerçevede öncelikle tersine lojistiğin tanımı ve kapsamı ile tersine lojistik faaliyetleri sırasında karşılaşılan sorunlar kavramsal olarak incelenmiştir. Sonrasında ise Türkiye'de gıda sektöründeki tersine lojistik faaliyetleri yapan firmaların yaşadıkları sorunlar ile ilgili yapılan bir saha araştırmasına yer verilmiştir.

Öz:

Globalization has affected the importance of logistics and it has been constantly growing in today’s environment. We can see the new elements of logistics in our life on a daily basis. One of the examples of that is reverse logistics which involves dealing with used products and items returned by customers for the purpose of recycling, re-production and repair and also transportation of products due to out of date fashion, seasonal changes, etc. Increase in world population has greatly affected the world food market. This opens a lot of opportunities for Turkey, one of the key players in food industry and logistics sector in the region. This study will try to understand the opinions of businesses involved in Turkish food sector to reverse logistics and also look at the problems they might face in the reverse logistics activities and facilitating solutions in case of problems during that process. In this concept we have gone through the steps to cover initial stages which is a literature review, we have given a definition about reverse logistics. We have looked at problems it may face through our research during the literature review. To demonstrate the usage level of reverse logistics activities and its problems we have conducted a field research on Turkish food industry and have shared our findings and suggested some solutions to issues in the last part of the study
