Çocuk Kliniklerinde Terapötik Oyun

Öz:

Akut/kronik hastalıklar ve hastaneye yatış çocuklar için hoş olmayan bir deneyimdir. Çocuklar hastaneye yatışla birlikte anksiyete, korku, ağrı gibi olumsuz duygu durumlarıyla karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Bu noktada ağrıyı azaltmak, anksiyete ve gerginliği gidermek, iletişim kurmak amacıyla terapötik oyun kavramı ortaya çıkmaktadır. Terapötik oyun, pediatri kliniklerinde hemşirelik bakımının çok önemli bir yönünü oluşturur. Bu derlemede terapötik oyunun, çeşitlerini, hastaneye yatan çocuklar için yararlarını ve hemşirelik bakımına katkısını tanımlamak amaçlanmıştır. Böylece başta hemşireler olmak üzere sağlık profesyonellerinin, hastaneye yatan çocukların sağlığını ve gelişimini desteklemek amacıyla, terapötik oyunu daha etkin kullanabilmesi için yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.

Therapeutic Play in Child Clinics

Öz:

Acute / chronic diseases and hospitalization are unpleasant experiences for children. Children with admission to the hospital are faced with negative feelings such as anxiety, fear, and pain. At this point, the term of therapeutic play emerges in order to reduce pain, to get anxiety and tension and to communicate. Therapeutic play is a very important aspect of nursing care in pediatric clinics. In this review, it is aimed to describe the therapeutic game, its varieties, its benefits for hospitalized children, and its contribution to nursing care. It is thought that health professionals, especially nurses, will guide the therapeutic game more effectively in order to support the health and development of hospitalized children.
