Robotic surgery and malpractice

Öz:
Robotic surgery has undergone exponential growth since the last two decades. Employment of new technologiesin surgery creates many ethical challenges concerning the advantages and disadvantages differentfrom conventional surgery, ensuring safety of the new technology, giving permission to surgeons for usingnew technology, the way of informing patients before undergoing a new technology or technique, and the responsibilitiesof surgeons, firms and hospitals to the patients etc. In this study, robotic surgery was discussedfrom malpractice perspective.

Robotik cerrahi ve malpraktis

Öz:
Robotik cerrahi son yirmi yıldan beri büyük bir hızla yayılmaktadır. Cerrahide yeni teknolojilerin kullanılması konvansiyonel cerrahiye göre avantajları ve dezavantajlarının neler olduğu, yeni teknolojinin güvenilirliğinin nasıl belirleneceği, cerrahlara yeni teknoloji kullanımı için nasıl izin verilmesi gerektiği, yeni bir teknoloji veya tekniğe başlamadan önce hastaların nasıl bilgilendirilmesi gerektiği ve cerrahların, firmaların ve hastanelerin hastalara karşı sorumluluklarının neler olduğu gibi birçok etik sorunu da berberinde getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada robotik cerrahi, malpraktis açısından ele alınmıştır.
