Concept Analysis in Nursing Science: Review

Öz:
Today, many concepts in nursing literature are observed to be insufficiently explained, ambiguous, outdated and unpractical. On the other hand, unique models/theories are accepted to be the basic building blocks of nursing science. Nursing model/theory, which is defined as series of statements that allow predictable the effects of certain variables on nursing care in clinical area, enables the development of nursing knowledge content in a systematic manner and brings practical approaches to the care, as a scientific basis needed for nursing applications. The starting point of a model/theory is the concepts, and the relationship between them can be explained by concept, association of concepts (hypotheses), model and theory hierarchy, respectively. In conclusion, the key aspect in developing a nursing model/theory is to analyze the concepts accurately. Besides, the problem of handling all sizes, concepts, problem analysis to uncover the relationships between concepts is important to clarify. From this point, what the concept analysis is, methods of concept analysis, the concept analysis included in nursing literatüre for 2015, title, writer/writers, aim, and used concept analysis method were reported.
