This pyrotechnicalinstallation, with its associated ceramicassemblage and production remains, offers anoverview of the pottery kiln technologies inCilicia during the end of the Late Bronze Age.The typological features of the Tatarlı Höyükpottery kiln presents encouraging similaritiesto northern Syrian and Mesopotamian updraftpottery kiln technologies rather than those ofcentral Anatolia, even though the political andsocial influence of the Hittite Empire has beendocumented by ceramic and seal collections ofthe settlement.
