This study was carried out as a descriptive study to determine the violence exposure during the marriage and pregnancy of pregnant women living in Yozgat. The universe of the research constitutes pregnants who apply to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Bozok University Research and Practice Hospital. As a result of the evaluation of the data based on the 21-item questionnaire (Table 4), 56,9% of the participant 664 pregnant women were in secondary school, 21,5% were college-university graduates and 84,9% were not working in any job. 52.7% of spouses are middle school-high school, 30.1% are college- university graduates and 93.5% are working. 34.3% of the monthly income is less than 1500TL. Among them, 43.3% of the violent women are middle school-high school and 23.3% are college-university graduates. 86,6% of them do not work in any job and the monthly income of 46,6% is 1,500TL less. 46.6% live in the province center (Table 1). 4.5% of respondents stated that they were exposed to violence during their marriage. Of these, 30.7% stated that their partner, 61.5% were mother-in-law, 30.7% were siblings, and 7.6% were exposed to violence by their father-in-law (Table 2). In the WHO study, 10-69% of women were exposed to physical abuse while in T.C. 34% of physical and 53% of verbal violence exposure was reported by the family research institute. In our study, 1.8 % physical violence and 1,6 % verbal violence exposure concluded which are extremely behind the world. We think it may be caused by living in an oppressive society and not giving accurate information because the fear of that identity information will not be kept secret. In order to reach meaningful data, it is recommended that this study be repeated in larger sample groups and educational studies on violence definition for collecting.
