The Effect of the Problem Solving Training Program on the Children's Decision Making Skills
Öz: This study aims to investigate the effect of the Problem Solving Skills Training Program on thedecision-making skills of 5-6-year-old children. In the study, the pre-test/post-test experimentaldesign with a control group was used. 5-6-year-old 50 (25 experimental/25 control) preschoolchildren participated in the study. At the beginning stage of the investigation process, the pretest was applied to the children both in the experimental and control groups. Then, problemsolving skills training program was administered to the children in the experimental group threetimes a week for 5 weeks. Decision Making Skills Assessment Tool-Children Form was used fordata collection. Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used in pre-test and post-test comparison.The study showed that the difference between the decision-making skills scores of theexperimental group and the control group was significant (p<0,5). Based on these findings, somesuggestions are offered to researchers and educators to develop the decision-making skills ofpreschool children.

Problem Çözme Becerileri Eğitim Programının Çocukların Karar Verme Becerileri Üzerindeki Etkisi
Öz: Bu çalışmanın amacı Problem Çözme Becerileri Eğitim Programının okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 5-6 yaş çocukların karar verme becerilerine etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada öntestsontest kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 5-6 yaş grubunda 50 çocuk (25 deney, 25 kontrol) katılmıştır. Uygulama sürecinin ilk aşamasında deney ve kontrol grubundaki çocuklara ön test uygulaması yapılmıştır. Daha sonra deney grubundaki çocuklara 5 hafta boyunca haftada 3 kez Problem Çözme Becerileri Eğitim Programı uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Karar Verme Becerileri Değerlendirme AracıÇocuk Formu ile toplanmıştır. Ön test-son test karşılaştırmalarında Kovaryans Analizi (ANCOVA) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda deney ve kontrol grubundaki çocukların karar verme becerileri puanları arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu bulgular ışığında çocukların karar verme becerilerini geliştirmek için araştırmacı ve eğitimcilere bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
