Sesquiterpene Lactones and Other Constituents from The Aerial Parts of Tanacetum Abrotonifolium Druce, Collected in East Turkey

Öz:
In these notable study successful by chemical composition of the aerial parts ofTanacetum abrotonifolium Druce, collected in eastern region of Anatolia in Turkey and was studyfor the first time. Eight known sesquiterpene lactones, namely tanachin (1), tavulin (2), tamirin(3), spiciformin (4), isospiciformin (5), 1β-hydroxy-6α-angeloxy-oxygermacra-4(5),10(14),11(13)-trien-8,12-olide (6), dentatin A (7), 1-β-hydroxy-6α-angeloyloxyeudesm-4(15), 11(13)-dien-8,12-olide (8) as well as α-amyrin (9) and β-sitosterol (10) were isolatedby using ethyl acetate and MeOH extracts from the aerial parts of Tanacetum abratonifoliumDruce. The structures were isolated and identified by comparing their physical and spectroscopicdata with those given in the literature.
