Postpartum Dönemde Yaşanan Cinsel Sağlık Sorunları, Ebe ve Hemşirenin Rolü

Öz:
Fizyolojik, hormonal, psikolojik ve sosyal birçok değişikliğin olduğupostpartum dönem, kadın hayatının her alanını olduğu gibi cinselyaşamını da etkilemektedir. Bu etki çoğunlukla olumsuz olmakta vekadınlarda sağlık yardımı alma gereksiniminin ortaya çıkmasına yol açmaktadır.Ancak kadınların çoğunluğu özellikle doğumdan sonraki ilkyıl içinde daha sık yaşadıkları cinsel fonksiyon şikayetlerini, herhangibir yardım almaksızın geçiştirerek ya da kendileri çözmeye çalışarak,cinsel hayatlarını devam ettirme eğilimindedirler. Disparoni, vajinalkuruluk, pelvik taban disfonksiyonu, cinsel isteksizlik/libido kaybıbu dönemde yaşanan en önemli sorunların başında gelmektedir. Buderleme makalesinde, kadınların postpartum dönemlerinde yaşadıklarıcinsel sağlıkları ile ilgili sorunlar ve nedenleri literatür doğrultusundagözden geçirilmiştir. Ayrıca, ebe ve hemşirelerin postpartum dönemdecinsel sağlık sorunları konusunda bilgilendirilmeleri ve bu süreçte nasılrol almaları gerektiği üzerinde durulmuştur.

Sexual Health Problems of Women in the Postpartum Period and the Role of the Midwife and Nurse

Öz:
The postpartum period, which consists of many physiological, hormonal, and social changes, affects the sexual as well as other aspects of women’s lives. These effects are mostly negative and may lead to the emergence of a need for medical assistance. However, the majority of women continue a sexual life without seeking any help or without trying to solve any problems by themselves which are experienced especially in the first year after giving birth. The most important problems are dyspareunia, vaginal dryness, pelvic floor dysfunction, and loss of sexual desire/libido. In this review, the problems and causes which affect women’s sexual health during the postpartum period were revised in line with the literature. In addition, it was recommended that midwives and nurses be more fully informed about sexual health problems in the postpartum period and understand how they can take part in this process.
