Mahremiyet Bilinci Ölçeği: Türkçe Geçerlilik ve Güvenirlilik Çalışması

Öz:
Bu çalışma, Mahremiyet Bilinci Ölçeği (PCS)’nin Türkçe tercümesini yapmak ve Türkçe versiyonunungeçerlilik ve güvenirliliğini test etmek amacıyla metodolojik olarak yapılmıştır. Verilerintoplanmasında; sosyodemografik özellikler formu ve Tabata ve Sato tarafından geliştirilmiş PCSkullanılmıştır. PCS’nin güvenirlilik ve geçerlilik özellikleri değerlendirilerek genel modelin uyumindeksleri hesaplanmıştır. Veriler, bir üniversitede öğrenim gören 296 hemşirelik öğrencisindenelde edilmiştir. Katılımcılardan bilgilendirilmiş onam, üniversiteden yazılı izin ve etik komisyonizni alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır ve orijinal ölçekteki gibiüç faktörlü bir yapıya ulaşılmıştır. Bu çalışma, PCS’nin üç faktör olduğunu doğrulamış, faktör yükleridüşük kalan dört ölçek maddesinin çıkartılmasına karar verilmiştir. Böylece PCS’nin on birmaddeden oluşan Türkçe versiyonu elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin Cronbach alfa iç tutarlık katsayısı toplamölçek için 0,772 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak; PCS’nin Türkçe versiyonunun, hemşireliköğrencileri için güvenilir ve geçerli uygun bir veri toplama aracı olduğu belirlenmiştir. PCS’nin,hemşirelik öğrencilerinin mahremiyet bilincini ölçmek için kullanılabileceği ve mahremiyet bilincinigeliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalara yön verebileceği düşünülmektedir.

The Privacy Consciousness Scale: Turkish Validity and Reliability Study

Öz:
A methodological study design was conducted to translate the Privacy Consciousness Scale (PCS) to Turkish and test the validity and reliability of the Turkish version. The sociodemographic characteristics form and the PCS which was developed by Tabata and Sato were used to collect data. The reliability and validity characteristics of the PCS were evaluated and the fit indexes of the general model was calculated. The data were obtained from 296 nursing students at a university. Informed consent from the participants, written permission from the university and ethics commission permission were obtained. In this study, firstly confirmatory factor analysis was used and three sub-factors such as the original scale have been reached. This study confirmed that the PCS has three factors and it is decided to subtract the four scale items that have low factor loads. Thus, the Turkish version of PCS, consisting of eleven items, was obtained. The Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency coefficient, was found 0.772 for the total scale. As a result; The Turkish version of PCS was found to be a reliable and valid data collection tool for nursing students. PCS is thought to be used by nursing students to measure the awareness of privacy and to guide studies aimed at improving privacy awareness.
