The Relationship of Perceived Employability and Turnover Intention with Employees’ Subjective Well-Being: A Case Study of Hospitality Industry

Öz:
The increase in the number of businesses that are extremely rigorous in the selection of staff and that attach importance to human capital has made it necessary to investigate the employers’ perceptions of employability. The effect of the individual’s level of employability perception on subjective well-being is also of great importance. Because the fear of being unemployed can bring about the loss of control over one's life. The effect of the individual’s subjective well-being on the intention to leave the current business is an issue that must be addressed in terms of both employees and businesses. In this direction, a comprehensive study has been carried out for the employees in the five-star accommodation businesses operating in Antalya. In the direction of the findings, it was observed that perceived employability affects three sub-dimensions of subjective wellbeing: negative feeling negatively, positive feeling positively and life satisfaction positively. On the other hand, it was also found that the sub-dimensions of subjective wellbeing, negative feeling, positive feeling and life satisfaction affected intention to leave work positively
