Türkiye'nin kuzey-doğusunda çeşitli diş tiplerinin çekim nedenleri

Öz:

Çalışmanın amacı rasgele seçilmiş bireylerde diş tipi ve alt-üst çeneye göre diş çekim nedenlerini tespit etmektir. 1997- 2000 yıllan arasında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Dişhekimliği Fakültesine farklı nedenlerle Samsun, Sinop, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Amasya, Tokat, Çorum illerinden başvuran 15-75 yaş grubu 5000 hastadan diş çekim endikasyonu konan 1316 birey çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Tüm dişler arasında en fazla alt 1. molar dişlere çekim endikasyonu konulurken, üst çenede çürük nedeniyle diş çekiminin (%75.7) alt çeneye göre (%70.5) daha fazla olduğu, periodontal nedenle çekimlerin ise alt çenede bariz olarak yüksek olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.Bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde tespit ettiğimiz gibi, tüm yaş gruplarında çürük en sık izlenen çekim nedenidir. Çalışmanın sonucunda alt santral ve lateral dişlerin en fazla periodontal nedenle çekildiği, ancak bunun haricinde diğer tüm dişlerde çekim nedenleri arasında çürüğün temel faktör olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The reasons for the extraction of various tooth types in Northeast of Turkey

Öz:

The aim of this study was to investigate the tooth extraction reasons in relation with tooth types and lower-upper jaws in randomly selected subjects. 5000 patients from Samsun, Sinop, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Amasya, Tokat, Çorum admitted to University of Ondokuz Mayis Faculty of Dentistry between 1997-2000 with various reasons were included this study. Tooth extraction was planned in 1316 patients. The teeth most frequently planned for extraction were the lower first molars whereas in the upper jaw extraction need (75.7%) was found higher than lower jaw (70.5%) due to caries. However the extraction needs due to periodontal reasons were found higher in lower jaw (27.0%). As we reported in the first part of this study previously caries was found to be the most frequently reason for extraction in all age groups. In conclusion, lower central and lateral teeth were found to be the most extracted teeth due to periodontal reasons, in which the caries was the main extraction reason in all other tooth types.
