The tourism sector, which has an important economic and social role in the service sector, is considered as a whole of important activities as it contributes to the development of employment, foreign Exchange input, regional development, superstructure supply and other sectors. For this reason, countries attach great suppurting to tourism activities that support economic, cultural and social development and provide the necessary support to the tourism sector in crisis situations. It also applies crisis management and precaution policies to prevent possible problems that may arise in tourism activities. However, situations such as war, natural disaster, political problems and pandemic cause partialor total cessation of tourism activities. Despite these crises, governments and local administrators who want to be cautious are developing crisis management policies or taking possible measures after the crisis. Covid 19 pandemic spread to the whole World fromWuhan, People's Republic of China, and brought many sectors to a stand still, affecting also tourism activities negatively. In this context, the aim of there search is to state in a statistical way how the pandemic process affects the tourism activities carried out all over the World and to reveal the precautions taken for the sustainability of tourism activities. When the results of there search are examined; While it is seen that the tourism activities carried out all over the World have decreased significantly and it is understood that the concerns regarding the pandemic will continue. However, countries that do not want to lose their revenues from tourism activities due to the economy and other factors have started to take measures by supporting the tourism sector with many financial, consultancy and supportive packages, especially taxes. Another result obtained in the research is that despite all possible measures, the probability of returning the tourism statistics to normal in the coming years will be limited.
