Lityum kullanımına bağlı gelişen akneiform ilaç erüpsiyonu
Öz: Lityum, ilk kez 1949 yılında Avusturyalı psikiyatr John Cade tarafından manik hastalar üzerinde denenmiştir.Birçok klinik çalışmada da etkisi kabul gören lityum, 1970 yılında FDA onayını almıştır. Lityum duygudurumdüzenlemek adına kullanılan ilaçların başında gelmesine karşın dar bir terapötik aralığa sahiptir. Lityumundermatolojik problemleri de içine alan birçok advers etkiye neden olduğu bildirilmektedir. Yapılan çalışmalardalityum kullanan hastalarda dermatolojik yan etkilerin başında akne vulgaris bulunmaktadır. Bu yan etki tedaviedilmediği takdirde emosyonel ve fiziksel bozukluklara neden olarak sosyal izolasyon, iş bulma güçlüğü,depresyon ve intihar girişimine yol açabilmektedir. Çalışmamızda lityum tedavi dozu artırıldıktan sonra ortayaçıkan akne vulgaris olgusunu, nadir görülmesi ve tedavi yönünden önemli olması nedeniyle sunmayı amaçladık.

Öz: Lithium was first tested on manic patients by the Austrian psychiatrist John Cade in 1949. Lithium, the effect of which is accepted in many clinical studies, was approved by the FDA in 1970. Although lithium is most valuable drug used to regulate mood, it has a narrow therapeutic range. Lithium has been reported to cause many adverse effects, including dermatological problems. Acne vulgaris is one of the dermatological side effects in patients using lithium. If this side effect is not treated, it can cause emotional and physical disorders, leading to social isolation, difficulty in finding employment, depression and suicide attempt. In our study, we aimed to present the case of acne vulgaris, which occurs after increasing the lithium treatment dose, because it is rare and important in terms of treatment.
