TY - JOUR TI - Mediation Role of Anxiety in the Effect of Employee Perceptions of Job Insecurity on Organizational Citizenship Behaviors AB - The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of anxiety in the effect of employees' perceptions of job insecurity onorganizational citizenship behaviors. Also, the aim of the study is to determine whether employees' perceptions of job insecurity,organizational citizenship behaviors and anxiety levels differ according to demographic characteristics (status, gender, agegroups, marital status, child status, educational status and seniority). 268 permanent and contracted employees employed inpublic and private sectors in Istanbul participated in the study. Research data were collected by questionnaire method. As a resultof the study, it was seen that there is a partial mediator role of anxiety in the effect of employees' perceptions of job insecurityon organizational citizenship behaviors. In addition, employees' perceptions of job insecurity differ according to their status andage groups; organizational citizenship behaviors of employees also differ according to their status. Anxiety level of employeesdoes not differ in terms of any demographic variables.
