Bilgilendirici Broşür Uygulamasının Travmatik Diş Yaralanmaları Hakkında Ilkokul Öğretmenlerinin Bilgi Seviyesine Etkisinin Değerlendirilmesi

Bilgilendirici Broşür Uygulamasının Travmatik Diş Yaralanmaları Hakkında Ilkokul Öğretmenlerinin Bilgi Seviyesine Etkisinin Değerlendirilmesi
Öz: Çalışmamızın amacı Alanya bölgesindeki ilkokul öğretmenlerinin travmatik diş yaralanmasında acil durum yönetimi konusunda bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek ve bilgilendirici broşürün etkinliğini değerlendirmektir.Bu çalışmaya, Alanya’da görev yapmakta olan 250 ilkokul öğretmeni katılmıştır. Demografik bilgiler ve travmatik diş yaralanmalarında acil durum yönetimi ile ilgili sorulardan oluşan anket formları dağıtılarak öğretmenlerin yanıtlamaları istenmiştir. Anketler cevaplandıktan sonra, öğretmenlere tarafımızca hazırlanmış diş yaralanmalarında acil durum yönetimi hakkında bilgiler içeren broşürler dağıtılmıştır. İki hafta sonra aynı öğretmenler anketleri yeniden cevaplamışlardır.Çalışmaya katılan 250 öğretmenin 235’i her iki anketi de eksiksiz cevaplamıştır. Ankette bulunan 9 bilgi sorusuna öğretmenlerin verdiği her doğru cevap 1 puan ve her yanlış cevap 0 puan olarak değerlendirilmiştir. İlk yapılan anketlerde öğretmenlerin ortalama doğru cevap puanları 4.74 iken bilgilendirme broşürü sonrasında yapılan anketlerde öğretmenlerin ortalama doğru cevap puanları 7.89’a çıkmıştır ve iki puan arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede fark vardır (p<0.0001).Çalışmamızdan elde edilen veriler öğretmenlerin travmatik diş yaralanmaları konusundaki bilgi düzeylerinin yeterli olmadığını göstermektedir. Dental travmaların okullarda çok sık görülmesi sebebiyle öğretmenlerin acil durum yönetimi hakkında daha fazla bilgi sahibi olması gerekmektedir. Travmatik diş yaralanmalarında öğretmenlerin acil durum yönetimi konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin artırılması için bilgilendirici broşür kullanımı faydalı olabilir.

Öz: The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge levels of primary school teachers in Alanya, Turkey, regarding emergency management of traumatic dental injuries and to evaluate the effectiveness of the informative brochure.250 primary school teachers working in Alanya participated in this study. Teachers were asked to answer questionnaire forms consisting of questions about emergency management in traumatic dental injuries and demographic information. After the questionnaires were answered, teachers were given brochures containing information about emergency management in traumatic dental injuries. Two weeks later, the same teachers answered the questionnaires again.Of the 250 teachers who participated in the study, 235 responded to both questionnaires. Each correct answer given by the teachers to the 9 questions in the questionnaire was evaluated as 1 point and each wrong answer was evaluated as 0 points. In the first questionnaires, the average correct answer score of the teachers was 4.74, and the average correct answer scores of the teachers increased to 7.89 after the informative brochure was given, and there was a statistically significant difference between the two scores (p<0.0001).The data obtained from this study indicate that teachers' knowledge about traumatic dental injuries is not sufficient. Because traumatic dental injuries occur frequently in schools, teachers need to know more about emergency management. Informative brochures may be useful to increase the knowledge level of teachers about emergency management of traumatic dental injuries.
