TY - JOUR TI - Cross-cultural Adaptation, Reliability and validity of the Turkish Version of the Work Limitations Questionnaire-Short Form AB - Objective: The physical or emotional difficulties faced byacademicians negatively affect their productivity. The aim of thisstudy is to translate and adapt a Turkish version of the WorkLimitations Questionnaire-Short Form (WLQ-SF) and investigateits validity and reliability. The WLQ-SF assesses academicians whohave suffered from physical or emotional health limitations in thepast 2 weeks while working. Methods: In this study, the mean age of 104 participants whocompleted the Turkish version of the WLQ-SF was 37.75±9.43years. The test-retest reliability was evaluated using the WLQ-SFwith a 7-day interval. The test-retest reliability assessed throughintraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Cronbach’s alpha (α)were used to determine the construct validity and time-invariantreliability of the scale over time. Results: The WLQ-SF provided construct validity with 68.62%variance under two factors (Bartlett’s test of sphericity value,407.830; Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value, 0.746; p=0.0001) andwas found to be valid. It demonstrated a high test-retest reliability(ICC =0.96) and good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha=0.83) for all domains. Therefore, the WLQ-SF in the Turkishlanguage is a valid and reliable test. Conclusion: The Turkish version of the WLQ-SF was found to bevalid and reliable for evaluating the effect of physical and emotionalhealth among academicians. It is an important scale to measure theimpact of both physical and emotional health at work AU - ÖZKAN, Seçil AU - Sahin, Ramazan AU - İLHAN, Mustafa Necmi DO - 10.14235/bas.galenos.2020.4460 PY - 2021 JO - Bezmiâlem Science VL - 9 IS - 3 SN - 2148-2373 SP - 283 EP - 289 DB - TRDizin UR - http://search/yayin/detay/450490 ER -
