Local anesthesia, sedation and general anesthesia have an important place in dentistry practices. Although generally dental procedures are performed underwent local anesthesia, an increasing number of the dental procedures realised underwent sedation or general anesthesia. This situation derived from the development of medicine, dentistry, and technology which enables more complex procedures to be performed, as well as the effort to increase patient comfort, primarily the control of fear and anxiety. In this contex; sedation practitioners have to be adequate training. Although sedation is the subject of an increasing number of studies and clinical practice all over the world, it is exposed to serious criticism in terms of possible complications. For that reason sedation practitioners have to be adequate training and equipment. In this article, presenting the current literature in the light of the anesthesiology and reanimation specialist's experience is aimed.
